When a fracture of the nasal bones occurs after trauma, in some cases, it is possible to perform a reduction of the nasal bones with local anesthesia, obtaining optimal aesthetic and functional results. It is prudent to perform this procedure within the first 7 days after the trauma. Closed reduction can be done in the office or in the operating room.

- In most cases, nasal plugs are not necessary in the post-operative period.
- After 14 days, aerobic exercises can be performed as long as there is no risk of hitting the nose.
